'Quiet Stillness' is about contemplation and connection using a selection of domestic pots. Objects in relationship to each other contain both a human and an abstract quality. Jugs, vases, and bowls in particular have an interior and an exterior which can be filled or empty, grouped together or alone, a metaphor for a quiet humanity. I am torn between both the visible form of the subject and its absence. All the objects are well known to me, each has its story. I love their quiet stillness.
