Sleepwalking is a continuation of my practice exploring themes of colour, imperfection, simplicity and human failure. My show last year, seems a world away, as we confront disturbing changes to the world order. Initially thinking about new work felt like sleepwalking, as words from Alice in Wonderland penetrated my subconscious becoming titles as I experimented with repetitive, primitive marks and rich hues, finally finding creative energy, connecting not dividing.
